HYPOglycemia literally means "undersweet blood." The blood sugar level is too low.

The fact is that each of our bodies operates in its own unique way. The key to controlling hypoglycemia is learning to control it according to the way

your own body works.

First, follow the advice: ELIMINATE entirely white flour, sugar, and alcohol.

Second, eat six small meals each day rather than the traditional three large meals.

Third, keep a food journal. Record information in your food journal about what you eat, when you eat it, and how it makes you feel. Your own body will tell you which foods make it feel better and which foods make it feel worse.

Your doctor will likely give you a list of foods that are recommended…and another list of foods that are forbidden. The best way to figure out the diet that will work best for controlling your hypoglycemia is to experiment by eating foods on the recommended list and avoiding foods on the forbidden list.
